The Nines
Music and Art Festival, Art Direction
The Nines was a music and art festival aimed at being a unique experience unlike anything around. The brainchild of a collaboration between non-profit artist’s collaborative 3River Arts and production company Great Northeast Productions, this festival certainly succeeded in not being predictable in any way.
The lineup of the event included the musical acts: Explosions in the Sky, Dr. Dog, Delta Spirit, Walk off the Earth, Shuggie Otis, Kid Koala, K. Flay, Matt Pond, Air Traffic Controller, and Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys. There were also comedians, performance artists and a multitude of visual artists displaying works.
I was tapped to bring an artistic direction to the eclectic festival mix. I created posters, stage banners, credentials and other related materials. I also gave direction and organized visual artists for the event.
